Blackberry Plant 'Black Satin' (Rubus hybrid)

Blackberry 'Black Satin' is a highly productive, thornless variety that produces abundant crops of sweet, juicy, blue-black berries in mid-summer. The large fruit, that can reach up to 2”, are perfect for fresh eating or freezing. Delicate pink flowers bloom in spring on second-year canes, followed by the fruit harvest in summer. First-year canes, known as primocanes, grow vegetatively and only bear fruit in their second year. Mature plants often produce 10–15 pounds of berries per season.
