Staghorn Fern ‘Superbum’ (Platycerium superbum)

One of the largest and most spectacular of all the Staghorn Ferns, ‘Superbum’ creates a stunning plant display for your home or garden. The sterile fronds, or back shields, get large and cradle organic matter while the front fertile fronds resemble majestic antlers. ‘Superbum’ can be kept smaller if grown in a pot or allowed to attain its full glory if mounted on a wooden board or plaque where it will easily reach 3’ wide. Give dappled sunlight or some morning or afternoon sun. Remember to soak the media, usually sphagnum moss, regularly because it drains quickly.
