Monkey Brush (Combretum aubletii)

This South American climber has showy 4” flowers that change color from yellow to a deep orange-red over a period of 5 or more days. It is a vigorous grower and one of the easiest Combretum we have found to flower in a pot in the north. This spring bloomer needs high light or full sun in winter to flower. Train on a stake or a trellis to keep the plant manageable.
